Our Story

Metabolism is the cornerstone of most biological processes. The Patti Lab wants to know how it is regulated at both the cellular and whole-body levels so that we can advance our understanding of health and disease. A unique characteristic of our research efforts is that they are not bound by the limits of current technologies. When existing tools or methods are inadequate to answer a given question, we see it as an opportunity for innovation. We take a problem-centric approach to technology, developing new solutions to tear down barriers that hinder project progress.
